Another go at the top spot…and another disappointing result; a mere £7 for an hour and 20 minutes playing. I was not without attention, though. Mainly from large groups of students. One bunch stood in front and applauded at the end of a song, whereas another didn’t. I reckon the first lot were foreign and the second lot were English!
I’m back to the Strat because it’s a bit lighter than the Les Paul (what isn’t?!) and it’s got a vibrato. I’ve got a cheaper version of a Bigsby I keep meaning to put on the Les Paul but I keep meaning to do it for years and haven’t yet. Plus, it’ll put more weight on it.
Dangerous Dave’s brother was sitting on the bench opposite for the last 45 minutes or so, nursing a can of beer. I did his favourite – James Bond, for him. No donation but then again, I didn’t expect one. The temperature is still quite cold but it’s supposed to be warming up…any day now!
