Diary Of A Busker Day 323

Diary Of A Busker Day 323 Saturday February 2nd 2013 Winchester High Street 1. Opposite Bellis. Time: 3:50-4:48pm 2. Opposite Vodafone. Time: 5:30-6:10pm

A(nother) very cold day, of which I’d already got a taste this morning, watching the son an heir’s team lose (again) in a match at their training ground at Worthy Down. I managed just two minutes shy of an hour at the first spot – it was too much. My hands were purple and in pain! Anything too quick, I couldn’t do, like Take Five, started and abandoned after going into the main melody, though the Em7 – Bm7 intro was fine. I should have just done that for a few minutes. Nobody would have noticed!

I took my break in Waterstones in the Brooks Centre and looked through a new book all about John Lennon’s letters and postcards. What’ll they think of next?! It did, however, provide me with an occupation while my poor POOR hands recovered most of their feeling.

Back out, I lasted 40 minutes. The wind wasn’t as bad as the first place but it was getting dark pretty quick and the temperature had gone further down by then. I finished off with While My Guitar Gently Weeps, or rather While My Guitar Gently Gets Colder And Its Owner Gets Colder Still But Not As Gently. However, I managed to acquire some not inconsiderable (sympathy) coinage.

Earnings: £33.55
